Become a Certified Simulations Enabled Practice Based Business Skills Trainer (CSPBST)
Criteria for Certification
To become certified by AIBS, a trainer must offer at least one course on business simulations and submit an application and information about that course (and any other Business Simulation courses to be considered for certification) to the AIBS Trainer Certification Committee (TCCTM) for review.
A minimum of three reviewers (who are not affiliated with any education or training provider) will evaluate the course(s) to determine that they meet the requirements and are in alignment with the simulations enabled Business Professional Body of Knowledge® (BPBOK®).
In addition, the provider must meet certain criteria as described below. Providers and courses are designated as “certified” upon the recommendation of the TCC.
Note that a course can be either instructor-led or independent of any instructor (as in the case of stand-alone computer-based business simulation training).
Additional Trainer Certification Criteria
- At the time certification is requested, the provider must have been established and offering business simulation courses for a minimum of one year.
- The provider must abide by the AIBS Provider Professional Code of Conduct.
- The provider must have a process for ensuring that only people with demonstrable expertise in a given course’s topics can be engaged as course developers or instructors.
- For instructor-led courses, the provider must have a process by which course participants can evaluate instructor performance and course quality. The provider must use the evaluation results to implement continuous course improvement.
- For all courses (including those that are not instructor-led or that consist of Computer Based Training (CBT) modules), the provider must have a process for continuous improvement that includes reviewing and evaluating course content and delivery mechanisms.
